Argentina: New rules require insurers to increase portion of capital invested in projects

Argentina's insurance watchdog has released new regulations that require insurers to increase the share of capital they ought to invest in government-authorized infrastructure projects, reports BNamericas.

The rules were issued under the Inciso K measure, established in October 2012 to push insurers to invest more than 7 billion Argentine pesos ($896 million) in infrastructure and production developments. The new updates raise the minimum investment as a portion of funds by an additional ARS 5.7 billion, BNamericas reported citing regional media reports.
