Vietnam: Quang Nam province culls ducks over bird flu threatReprints
Authorities in the Quang Nam province, Vietnam, have culled many ducks that were tested positive for the H5N1 strain of bird flu, Thanh Nien News reported.
The authorities are worried that about 4 million birds in the province have not been vaccinated against the flu. Two human deaths from bird flu were reported by the Ministry of Health in January 2014. The World Health Organization said that till now, the flu has claimed 64 lives in Vietnam.
