Indonesia: Air pollution in Dumai soars to dangerous levels

Air pollution in Dumai, Riau province, Sumatra, rose to extremely hazardous levels on Feb. 11, The Jakarta Post reported.

The Air Pollutant Index rose to 449, similar to levels seen at the peak of haze that struck the region in June 2013. The number of hot spots in Sumatra increased to more than 450, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellite found.
