Ireland: Flood and storm damage claims reach $62.7 million

Insurance claims from damage caused by storms and flooding in December 2013 and early January 2014 was around €46 million ($62.7 million), Insurance Ireland said.

Claims for damage to commercial property amounted to €24 million ($32.7 million), The Irish Times reported.

The government has announced funding of €70 million ($95.5 million) to repair the storm damage.
