Australia: Wildfires damage about 20 properties in VictoriaReprints
Wildfires in Victoria, Australia, have damaged around 20 properties, Bloomberg reported.
State Premier Denis Napthine said the state is facing its worst fire conditions since 2009.
A spokesman for GDF Suez Australian Energy said the Hazelwood power plant is functioning at less than 25% capacity because fires cut the power supply to the coal mine.
Wildfires are a huge risk in Australia as the climate is hot and dry.
