Lebanon: Bomb attacks drive up demand for terrorism insurance

Several organizations in Lebanon are seeking insurance policies covering terror attacks following the recent bombings in the country, insurers said.

Ahmad Tabaja, chairman of Compass Insurance Co., said demand for passive war and terrorism insurance has increased by more than 50%, The Daily Star reported.

Asaad Mirza, head of the Association of Insurance Companies, said reinsurers are raising their prices on account of the increased risk.
