Belarus: Total 2013 premiums up 49% to $678 million

Total premiums collected in Belarus during 2013 increased by around 49% year on year to 6.469 trillion Belarusian rubles ($678 million), Forinsurer reports.

Insurance payments totaled BYR 2.755 trillion ($288.7 million).

Total profit recorded by insurers during the period reached BYR 830.6 billion ($87 million), a year-on-year increase of 49.3%, Forinsurer reported.
