India: Reinsurance prices expected to be stable for 2014 renewals

Several market players attending the recent India Rendezvous said reinsurance prices and conditions are likely to be largely stable for 2014 renewals in the region, Middle East Insurance Review reports.

An official from Bahrain's Trust Re said despite "a number of major cat events in India, we do not expect any change in pricing in the immediate future."

Another official at the event said overseas reinsurers are keen on offering capacity for India's market but rates are flat, Middle East Insurance Review reported.
