Singapore firms in Thailand plan temporary shutdown amid unrest

The ongoing unrest in Bangkok is starting to affect Singaporean businesses operating in Thailand, with some planning temporary shutdown of their Thai plants, The Jakarta Post reported.

Timothy Yong, director at Hup Soon Global Corp. Ltd., said the firm's supply chain has been affected as protesters have blocked some roads in parts of Bangkok. Some outlets witnessed a drop in sales since the protests started.
