New Zealand: More than 600 damage claims flood in to Earthquake CommissionReprints
A spokeswoman for the Earthquake Commission said they had received more than 600 claims following the 6.2-magnitude earthquake that rattled the lower North Island, Stuff.co.nz reported.
There have been several reports of property damage.
Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd.'s Pahiatua distribution storage center suffered damage from the quake.
A report by natural hazard scientist Graham Leonard said "no part of the New Zealand coastline is free from tsunami hazard."
