Cross Insurance has acquired Willis of Northern New England Inc., Cross announced Tuesday.
Willis of Northern New England, formerly known as the Dunlap Agency, is a unit of Willis Group Holdings P.L.C.'s Willis North America operation. It operates out of four offices in Maine.
Cross Insurance is a subsidiary of Bangor, Maine-based Cross Financial Corp. Cross also announced that it had acquired the Insurance Exchange Inc., an independent insurance agency based in Stamford, Conn.
Terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
“We are truly excited to see our business roots merge with these two companies, which serve as homes to an extremely talented team of professionals,” said Royce Cross, CEO of Cross Insurance, in a statement. “The rich histories of both Willis of Northern New England and the Insurance Exchange will be instrumental to our service offerings as we continue to expand our geographic reach.”
