BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Robert Dickie joins Zurich from AIG as chief of operations and technology

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. has appointed Robert Dickie as chief operations and technology officer, the insurer announced Wednesday.

Mr. Dickie, who will take up the post in March, most recently was chief operations and systems officer at American International Group Inc., Zurich said in a statement.

Markus Nordlin, chief information technology officer, will remain as interim chief operations officer until Mr. Dickie joins, Zurich said.

Mr. Nordlin has served in that interim role since August when Kristof Terryn was appointed CEO of Zurich's global life business.

“I am very pleased to welcome Robert Dickie to Zurich and our team,” said Zurich CEO Martin Senn in the statement. “With his extensive international and leadership experience as well as his track record of transforming operations across global, national and regional platforms, Robert is very well positioned to bring Zurich's operations to the next level in support of our strategy.”

Mr. Dickie will be based in Zurich.
