Ukraine: Nine-month 2013 outward reinsurance contracts total $791.8 million

Outward reinsurance contracts in Ukraine totaled 6.49 billion Ukrainian hryvnias ($791.8 million) during the first nine months of 2013, reports Forinsurer.

Of this, UAH 1.35 billion ($164.7 million) were signed with non-resident insurers.

Official data indicate that there was strong growth in reinsurance operations in the country during the period.

Among the outward reinsurance ceded to non-resident reinsurers, 41% went to Russia, 17% to Germany and 10% to Switzerland.
