Ireland: Met ╔ireann warns of high winds, transport services disruptions

Met ╔ireann, Ireland's national meteorological service, has upgraded a storm warning to “red status” for Clare, Galway, Kerry, Mayo, Waterford and Wexford, The Irish Times reported.

Ferry sailings have been cancelled as high winds are forecast. A little more than 500 businesses and homes remain without power. Telecommunications company Eircom Group Ltd. said "network damage is widespread." Several flights had to be diverted because of strong winds.
