Argentina: Nearly 40% of reinsurance premiums written locally

Reinsurance chamber president Horacio Cavallero said in a report that nearly 40% of Argentina's reinsurance premiums are written locally, BNamericas reported.

In 2012, Argentina passed reforms that required more reinsurance activity to be held domestically.

Mr. Cavallero said reinsurers' risk ceding rate has fallen since the reform.
