Amendments to laws on insurance against accidents at work have come into force in Azerbaijan, reports Forinsurer.

Under the revised rules, businesses and individuals will be penalized for lack of insurance against accidents at workplace.

Premiums for this type of insurance totaled 23 million Azerbaijani manats ($29.3 million) during the January to November 2013 period, while payments totaled AZN 1.1 million ($1.4 million).
