Morocco likely to have independent insurance regulator by first quarter of 2014

Hassan Boubrik, director of Morocco's Insurance and Social Security Directorate, said an independent regulator for the insurance sector is likely to be created by the first quarter of 2014, Middle East Insurance Review reported.

"Independence in making decisions is the main advantage as there will be minimal political or other interferences," Mr. Boubrik said.
