Official figures have shown that the total amount of insurance and reinsurance premiums obtained through brokers and intermediaries in Ukraine during the first nine months of 2013 increased 18% to 407.7 million Ukrainian hryvnias ($49.7 million), Forinsurer reported.
Property insurance made up around 52% of this figure, followed by compulsory insurance (42%).
Liability insurance made up 4% of the total amount.
A total of 2,756 insurance and reinsurance contracts were signed through intermediaries and brokers during the period.
