Construction workers at a stadium in Curitiba, Brazil, being built for the upcoming World Cup soccer tournament have embarked on a three-day strike because of late payments, officials said.
Curitiba Mayor Gustavo Fruet said around one-third of the 1,200 workers participated in the work stoppage, The Associated Press reported.
The stadium is owned by Brazilian first division club Atletico Paranaense.
