BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

New Zealand: Insurer FMG deals with claims for windstorm-damaged irrigation systems

Insurer FMG said it is dealing with a little over 250 irrigation claims worth and aggregate $6.8 million New Zealand ($5.6 million) because of damages caused by September’s freak windstorms, TVNZ reported.

The insurer has only settled half of the claims. Several Canterbury crop farmers are facing major financial troubles as many irrigation systems that were damaged in the windstorms still need fixing. The windstorms damaged 800 irrigation systems around mid and north Canterbury, New Zealand.
