Canada: Whirlpool faces class action lawsuit for faulty dishwashers

A class action lawsuit that covers fires in the electronic control boards made by Whirlpool Corp. was filed by an Edmonton lawyer in September 2013, CBC reported.

The electronic control boards were installed in dishwashers sold under brand names that include Whirlpool, Kenmore and KitchenAid. Since the time the lawsuit was filed more than two dozen people have reported their dishwashers caught fire, the lawyer said.
