Thailand: Protesters attack at CAT Telecom causes $9 million in lost transactions

On Nov. 30, protesters infiltrated CAT Telecom Public Co. Ltd. with the intention to cut off its electricity, Tech In Asia reported.

The system was shut down affecting internet, phone lines and automated teller machines. The event caused around 300 million Thai baht ($9.3 million) in lost transactions, the National News Bureau of Thailand said. Around 92,000 clients of CAT Telecom were affected by the infiltration.
