Hub buys Manitoba insurance brokerage

Hub International Ltd., a Chicago-based insurance brokerage specializing in middle-market business, has acquired Pallister Insurance Brokers Ltd., a Portage la Prairie, Manitoba-based insurance brokerage firm.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As a result of the acquisition, Pallister’s operations will become part of Hub International Horizon, a Hub subsidiary in Portage la Prairie.
In addition, Dale Michie, Pallister’s president, will become branch manager and senior commercial account manager, reporting to Ryan Matthews, Hub’s chief sales officer in Manitoba.
