Indonesia's insurance regulator is looking for foreign investors to establish a joint venture reinsurer in the country and boost local reinsurance capacity, financial regulatory head Firdaus Djaelani said, according to Asia Insurance Review.
Mr. Djaelani said another option would be for domestic market players to form a single reinsurer, and revealed the regulator is also looking to from an insurance rating agency that will help oversee pricing competition.
