Striking workers in South Africa's automotive components industry is bringing production lines to a halt, Business Day reported.
The country recently suffered from a strike in the auto-manufacturing sector.
Industry leaders have said the strike is damaging the country's credibility as a reliable supplier.
A spokeswoman for Mercedes-Benz South Africa Ltd. said that work on the line had stopped because component supply ran dry.
A spokesman for BMW South Africa Pty. Ltd. said "We lost 7,900 cars in the strike, and if this doesn’t stop, we’ll lose a further 1,600 cars next week."
