Stuart Pattison joins Endurance as head of U.S. law firm practice

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has hired Stuart Pattison to lead its U.S. law firm insurance unit, the company said Thursday.
Mr. Pattison’s specialty team will offer primary and excess liability insurance coverage to midsize to large law firms, the Pembroke, Bermuda-based specialty insurer and reinsurer said in a statement.
Previously, New York-based Mr. Pattison was an underwriter at CNA Insurance, a subsidiary of CNA Financial Corp., and leader of CNA’s large law firm group, according to the statement.
“We are excited to have a professional with Stuart’s background, credentials and profile leading our efforts in this niche market,” Jack Kuhn, Endurance’s CEO of global insurance, said in the statement.
“By hiring seasoned insurance leaders to serve targeted industry sectors such as law firms, we believe that we can better serve our clients, providing them with appropriate liability coverage as well as risk management resources,” Mr. Kuhn said.
