Ukraine has lifted certain restrictions related to foreign insurers' operations in the country, thereby allowing them to directly operate through their own offices, reported Forinsurer.
The League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine said this move represents a major step towards "global integration," and will help improve the quality of insurance services in the country.
The revised insurance regulations also allow Ukrainian insurers to open branches in foreign countries whereby they operate as non-resident insurers.
