To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Grace Crickette named chief risk officer for AAA region

Grace Crickette, formerly chief risk officer for the University of California in Oakland, was named senior vice president and chief risk officer of the American Automobile Association for Northern California, Nevada and Utah, effective May 6.

In her new position, Ms. Crickette will oversee risk management, legal, compliance and internal audit functions for the Emeryville, Calif.-based association.

During her tenure at the University of California, Ms. Crickette launched an enterprise risk management program that reduced total cost of risk while improving claims management, emergency management and business continuity planning throughout the university system. For this and other accomplishments, Ms. Crickette was named to the Business Insurance Risk Management Honor Roll® in 2012. She was an honoree of the Business Insurance Women to Watch program in 2011.

In addition, she serves on the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. board of directors.

Prior to joining the university in December 2004, Ms. Crickette had 13 years’ experience in audit, insurance, safety and human resources capacities for the equipment and construction industry.
