RIMS releases 2013 mobile app for annual conference

The Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. has released its 2013 RIMS mobile app designed for the society's annual conference and exhibition in Los Angeles.
This year's app includes a “My Schedule” feature that attendees can use to track preselected sessions, interactive navigation to locate booths in the exhibit hall, and the capability to download session handouts and rate the sessions.
The app is compatible with Apple products, smartphones, BlackBerrys and other Web-browser enabled devices.
The app also gives RIMS a platform to deliver news, event updates and speaker information as well as allowing exhibitors to distribute announcements. A “Friends” feature allows users to share information.
The free app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching for “RIMS 2013.” Users of BlackBerrys and other Web-enabled devices can download the app here.
