BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Spencer Foundation to honor two executives at annual event

NEW YORK—The Spencer Educational Foundation Inc. will honor Seraina Maag, chief executive-North America property/casualty at XL Group P.L.C., and David Zuercher, retired chairman of Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. and executive vp and head of the insurance services group for Wells Fargo and Co., at its annual fundraising gala.

Ms. Maag and Mr. Zuercher will be recognized for their contributions to the advancement of risk management and insurance educational opportunities.

The Spencer Educational Foundation was founded in 1979 to honor the late Robert S. Spencer, a former president of the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. The foundation exists to promote and encourage undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and part-time students of risk management and insurance. Since 1980, the Spencer Foundation has awarded more than $4.5 million in scholarships and $2.1 million in grants to risk management students and universities.
