NEW YORK—Navigators Group Inc. has appointed Vincent C. Tizzio as president and CEO of Navigators Management Co. Inc., its principal U.S. underwriting agency subsidiary.
Effective July 16, Mr. Tizzio will be responsible for all of the company's U.S. insurance underwriting operations. He succeeds and reports to Stanley A. Galanski, now president and CEO of Navigators, the insurer announced in a statement Friday.
Mr. Tizzio will be based in New York.
Most recently, Mr. Tizzio was excutive vp of Zurich North America. Zurich announced Thursday that Craig Fundum will succeed him as president of its North America commercial markets and customer industry segments.
“We are delighted to have Vince join our executive team,” said Mr. Galanski in a statement. “His track record of accomplishment in building profitable businesses and personal leadership qualities are well established. We are confident he will enhance our culture of underwriting excellence, specialization and financial performance.”
