BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

TOLEDO, Ohio—Hylant Group Inc. will carry out a corporate restructuring strategy that will streamline operations and “capitalize on the core strengths of its executive management team,” the brokerage said Tuesday.

“This strategy will enable and position Hylant to deliver consistent world-class service and resources across all operations and to their clients,” said Toledo, Ohio-based Hylant in a statement announcing the restructuring.

Richard Hylant, president of the Toledo office, has been named an executive vp and will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of Hylant's Toledo office and headquarters. Under the new strategy, he will focus on managing and developing the firm's relationships with carrier partners and underwriters, as well as oversee Hylant's philanthropic initiatives.

John Chaney, who most recently served as president of the Cleveland office, has been named executive vp and will focus on Hylant's risk and industry practice resources. He also will oversee marketing and branding and customer engagement companywide. Scott Dillabaugh succeeds him as president of the Cleveland office.

Mark Miller, president of Hylant's Ann Arbor, Mich., office, also has been named an executive vp. His duties will expand to include management and field execution for all 12 Hylant offices in five states. He will drive client service protocols and sales initiatives relative to growth and profitability, according to Hylant.

Bill Pridgeon, Hylant's chief financial officer, will take on additional oversight and management of all internal operations including finance, accounting, talent management, human resources and management systems.

“This restructuring is a natural evolution in response to our understanding of our clients' needs,” said Michael M. Hylant, CEO of Hylant Group, in a statement announcing the changes. “As a private, family-owned company, we will continue to deliver customized solutions beyond risk management, insurance and employee benefits. This move puts the right players in the proper position to help bring value to our clients.”

Hylant was among the 50 insurance industry companies recognized in the 2011 Business Insurance Best Places to Work in Insurance program.

It also ranked 25th in Business Insurance's 2011 ranking of the 100 largest brokers of U.S. business.
