TORONTO—Ironshore Canada Ltd. said Monday that it has established a specialty casualty division to underwrite insurance for a variety of industry sectors.
The division will underwrite general liability insurance as well as umbrella and excess liability programs, the Toronto-based subsidiary of Ironshore Inc. said in a statement.
The specialty casualty unit is the latest offering Ironshore Canada announced as it continues to expand its business.
Further, the division will address the needs of complex corporate risks for various industry classes that include manufacturing, construction, railroads, agriculture, public entities and the energy sector.
Stephen Stewart has been named vp and leader of the division. Previously, he was commercial underwriting manager for Toronto-based Lombard Canada Ltd. overseeing the insurer’s national broker group.
TORONTO—Ironshore Canada said Wednesday that it is entering the financial and professional lines market in Canada and named Dane Hambrook as vp to lead the division.
