TORONTO—Marsh Canada Ltd. said Tuesday that it has named Gerry Russ as managing director and construction and design practice leader.

Mr. Russ reports to Ken Arthurs, central Canada zone leader for Marsh Canada, and is based in Toronto, the Canadian brokerage unit of Marsh Inc. said in a statement.

Previously, Mr. Russ was Canada practice leader for construction and surety at Aon Corp. Prior to that, he held various senior-level management posts at Sedgwick Tomenson Inc.
