HANOVER, Germany—Hannover Reinsurance Co. has named Klaus Miller as leader of its life and health reinsurance business in northern and central Europe and as a member of its executive board effective Sept. 1.

Mr. Miller, who previously was based in Cologne, Germany, as head of structured insurance solutions for Commerzbank, will head the reinsurance unit with Wolf Becke, who is a member of the executive board and CEO of Hannover Life Re.

Mr. Miller has held positions in the life and health market with other insurers, including chief risk officer of SCOR Global Life S.E.
