NEW YORK—Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C. said Thursday it has named Liz Flynn as global chief operating officer, succeeding Charlie Fry, who has left the company.
Based in New York, Ms. Flynn is responsible for the reinsurance brokerage’s global operational initiatives and will oversee client support services, information technologies groups and Reinsurance Solutions L.L.C., a unit of Guy Carpenter, the New York-based unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. said in a statement.
Before joining Guy Carpenter, Ms. Flynn was senior vp of the restructuring office, separation and transition management, at American International Group Inc. Before that, she held several executive management posts at JPMorgan Chase & Co., most recently as executive vp of merger integration and mission critical issues.
Ms. Flynn, who reports to Guy Carpenter President and CEO Peter Zaffino, also has joined the firm’s executive committee.
