A video of Steven L. Newman, Transocean's chief executive, performing a Bollywood dance number last year in Mumbai during a company “safety review” is making its way around the blogosphere.

Mr. Newman reportedly promised to dance if Transocean's India division improved its safety record. Blogs say the video available below was posted on the company's online magazine called Beacon.

The video wouldn't have gained much attention, but Transocean owned the drilling rig that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 and unleashing an environmental disaster.
