ZURICH—ACE Ltd. said Thursday that its preliminary estimated losses from recent natural catastrophes total approximately $125 million, including reinstatement premiums.

The Zurich-based insurer said the amount includes the earthquake in Chile, Windstorm Xynthia in Europe, floods in Portugal, hailstorms in Australia and winter storms in the United States.

Of the $125 million in losses, ACE said its combined estimate for the earthquake in Chile and Xynthia is approximately $75 million.
