LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.—Hewitt Associates Inc. on Monday reported slightly higher net income and flat revenues for the first quarter of its 2010 fiscal year, ended Dec. 31, 2009.
Net income rose to $68.4 million, up from $64.8 million, while net revenues, which exclude reimbursement paid by clients for certain expenses incurred by Hewitt, were $770.1 million compared with $770.8 million in the prior-year quarter.
“We are pleased with how each of our businesses performed in the quarter,” said Hewitt Chairman and CEO Russ Fradin said in a statement.
By business segment, consulting revenues increased 1% to $260.8 million, while benefits resourcing revenues increased 3% to $404.4 million, Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Hewitt said.
