NEW YORK—Leslie Nylund, who became chief placement officer and national partner for Willis North America in January, has left the brokerage, a Willis spokesman confirmed Monday.
In her most recent role, Ms. Nylund was in charge of the broker’s North America, London and Bermuda insurer relationships and placement strategy development. Prior to her appointment, she was head of Willis’ New York metro region.
Ms. Nylund joined Willis in 2004 from Marsh Inc., where she was a managing director in charge of the global broking multilines and global broking environmental national practices. She then became a managing director at Guy Carpenter & Co. Inc., where her responsibilities included overseeing several specialty practices.
Ms. Nylund “recently resigned and is no longer employed by Willis,” a company spokesman said. “As a matter of policy, we can’t comment beyond that.”
No replacement has been named, he said.
