NEW YORK—The Global Assn. of Risk Professionals said Monday it is collaborating with Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business to launch its first graduate program in financial risk management.
The program, which will offer a master’s degree and prepare students for their Financial Risk Manager certification, is through GARP’s Partnership for Risk Education program in collaboration with the business school of the university.
New York-based GARP’s certification is part of Tulane’s one-year Master of Risk Management program.
Applications for admission to the program are being accepted by Tulane, with introductory financial risk management classes beginning in December via the Internet and in January on the New Orleans campus.
