HAMILTON, BermudaJeremy Cox has been appointed chief executive officer of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the domicile’s main regulatory body.
Mr. Cox, who is deputy CEO of the BMA, is expected to take over in his new role Jan. 1, the BMA announced Monday.
Mr. Cox succeeds Matthew Elderfield, who has been CEO of Hamilton, Bermuda-based BMA since 2007. Mr. Elderfield is leaving the position to become the director of financial regulation at the Central Bank of Ireland.
