LONDON—Brit Insurance Holdings P.L.C. has named Malcolm Beane as its chief operations officer, effective Sept. 21.
Mr. Beane was most recently chief processing officer for XL Capital Ltd. unit XL Insurance.
Prior to that, he held several other executive positions at XL.
