AMSTERDAM, Netherlands—FM Insurance Co. Ltd,, which operates as FM Global, is opening an office in Amsterdam to serve its clients in the Benelux region.

The insurer has operated in the region for more than 40 years. The new office will allow FM Global to offer additional services to local companies, particularly those in the chemical sector, the insurer said in a statement.

The new office will be located in the SOM Building in Amsterdam's financial center.
