LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.--Hewitt Associates Inc. is acquiring Deerfield, Ill.-based LCG, an employee absence management service provider.

LCG, which has about 250 employees, provides such services as administration and management of all forms of absences, Web-based data integration and reporting, and return-to-work programs.

"LCG has some of the most advanced technology and analytics capabilities in the industry," said Jay Rising, president of Hewitt's HR outsourcing business.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the next few months.
