BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Canada expands federal terrorism cover for airlines

Reprints

OTTAWA--The Canadian government has extended its temporary aviation war and terrorism liability coverage to include new airlines.

The change was made after three new airlines started operations in Canada, according to a spokesman for the Canadian transport department, Transport Canada, in Ottawa.

Like several other countries, Canada began offering emergency war and terrorism risk coverage for airlines after commercial insurers canceled airlines' coverage following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The $50 million in coverage that the government provides to airlines is due to expire on July 19.
