Aviation reinsurance remained unaffected by COVID-19 at renewals

Analysts at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC said that the COVID-19 pandemic did not have much of an impact on the general aviation and aerospace markets during the Jan. 1 reinsurance renewals, Reinsurance News reported. Reinsurance rates were either at previous levels or saw a slight increase of 2.5% on an average across programs on a risk-adjusted basis during this year’s January renewals, after two years of increases.
