Dr. Suthiphon Thaveechaiyagarn, secretary general of Thailand’s Office of Insurance Commission, said emerging risks such as climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic are among the main challenges the country’s insurance sector would face this year, Asia Insurance Review reported. Issues like economic contraction, pressing need to adopt new technologies, aging population, higher cost of medical care, and more, are likely to impact Thailand’s insurance market.
