BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Alliant Insurance Services acquires Benefit Concepts Inc.

Broker Alliant Insurance Services Inc. has acquired Benefit Concepts Inc., one the largest group and individual benefit agencies in the United States, according to the Valdosta Daily Times. The acquisition of Houston-based BCI for an undisclosed amount will boost Alliant’s standing in the national small group benefits market, the article says. BCI will continue to operate under its name.
