According to the South Africa-based think-tank Center for Financial Regulation and Inclusion, cell captives could provide innovative insurers with a cost-effective way to gain easy access to the insurance market in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, Captive International reported. Cenfri said that cell captives could help reduce compliance barriers faced otherwise by insurers looking to obtain a full insurance license.
